Mei Qi And Xuan Yi Confirmed To Promote With Rocket Girls And WJSN
Yuehua Entertainment and Starship Entertainment confirm that Mei Qi and Xuan Yi to promote in both Rocket Girls and WJSN.
After news of Mei Qi and Xuan Yi withdrawing from Rocket Girls, on August 17, Yuehua Entertainment and Starship Entertainment have come to an agreement with Tencent on the members being active in both groups.
In an official statement, Yuehua Entertainment states, “In regards to Mei Qi and Xuan Yi’s future plans, we have miraculously come to an agreement with Tencent Entertainment to have both of them participate in both Rocket Girls and WJSN. Until now, Tencent had maintained that the two members would only be a part of Rocket Girls. Yuehua, for the sake of fans and parties from both countries that love Mei Qi and Xuan Yi, continued negotiations to come to today’s agreement. Mei Qi and Xuan Yi will rejoin the Rocket Girls in all its activities and work hard to produce great results. They will not leave WJSN and will continue to participate in all WJSN activities. We will communicate amicably and effectively with Tencent regarding the two members to provide them with bigger stages and opportunities.”
Many fans in both Korea and China have expressed their happiness with the news of Mei Qi, Xuan Yi and Winnie (Zhang Zining) being in the group again.
WJSN’s Mei Qi and Xuan Yi came in first and second place on the Chinese version of “Produce 101.”
