Highlight Yoon Doojoon unable to participate in overseas promotions with group members due to military service act
Yoo Doojoon unable to participate in overseas promotions with Highlight group members due to military service act.
Highlight’s agency Around Us, revealed that Yoon Doojoon will be absent from overseas fan meetings because of revised military service law.
The reason why Yoon Doojoon is absent is due to the military service act, which will commence in August, outlining that 25-year-old to 27-year-old men who have not enlisted in the military are allowed to only travel overseas for up to five times for six months which totals to 24 months under a permit (previously three years) delaying their military services.
Those who are 28 years old or older who have not enlisted will be prevented from delaying their enlistment in the military.
As Highlight Yoon Doo Joon is 28 years old and yet to enlist in the military, he is unable to participate in overseas promotions due to these regulations.
Around Us has stated:
“Hello. This is Around US Entertainment.
First of all, we’re sorry to share this unfortunate news. Due to the partial amendments made in the Military Service Act on May 29, 2018, it has become difficult for Highlight’s Yoon Doojoon to go abroad.
Therefore, Yoon Doojoon will not be participating in the Hanoi K-food event scheduled for June 9 and the Bangkok fan meeting on June 24.
We ask for the generous understanding of fans in and out of the country who have shown appreciation and love for the group Highlight.
For those who have already purchased tickets to the Bangkok fan meeting and wish to cancel, we will do our best to make sure that the appropriate measures are taken and that no one suffers any damages through discussions about cancellation with the local company in charge.
Yoon Doojoon will be starring in the tvN drama ‘Let’s Eat 3.’
